Now, she is living a happy life with her husband and two children. Having a keen interest in the literature from the childhood, she joined the Cheltenham Literary Festival, the Arvon Foundation, the University of Western Ontario and the University of York to teach creative writing. In 1997, Donoghue attended Cambridge University, from where she earned a Ph.D. She graduated with a BA in English Literature from the University College Dublin. She is trained at Catholic convent schools as her family is Irish Catholic. The daughter of Denis and Frances Donoghue, she is the youngest in her family among eight children. She was born on 24 October 1969 (age 49 as of 2018), in Dublin, Ireland. The literary prize awarded each year for the best original novel published in England. By involving in the bibliography, she gave birth to many best books and her 2010 novel Room was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize. Emma Donoghue is presenting herself in literature as an Irish-Canadian playwright, literary historian, teacher, short story writer, novelist, and screenwriter.
